Patrick had only just changed the name of the band to Nacht und Nebel. After the release of the single Movoco Synthaca I went into the studio with him to record the 7 inch Alcatraz. It was released in 1981 on Patrick’s own label Laguna Records. The single is a real collector’s item and in addition to Alcatraz it also features Arabian Town, Presidents On Dope and Mister Meanie. I later recorded Casablanca with him and signed the band to Antler Records for a release in 1982. The rest, as they say, is Belpop history!
