Tank Of Danzig is one of the best known post-punk/no wave bands from Germany, with a particular cult following in Belgium and the Netherlands.
Tank of Danzig started out as a trio in 1980 around band leader Schengel (guitar & vocals and former bass player of Psychotic Tanks).
Their first release was the three track 7" single Your Brain EP featuring the original band members Esch (bass) & LeGaye (drums). They recorded the Not Trendy album in 1982 with the legendary Conny Plank.
Together with Antler Records owner Roland Beelen they recorded the dance floor smash hits Tank Hymn and Tank (T)Rap at ACE Studios in Antwerp. 1982: Tank Hymn/Tank (T)Rap (Antler Records - Split Release together with Biting Tongues)
